By Mark B

Here is another article on panic attacks self help that you may find useful

Each and every panic attack sufferer will react differently to each different type of therapy. So when you look at therapy for panic attacks and what will work best for you, you need to first work out how you wish to try and treat your panic or anxiety attacks.

There are many different types of therapy available to panic and anxiety attack sufferers today. From professional therapy such as cognitive behaviour therapy or self help guides that can be readily available on or offline. The therapy you choose to follow to attack your panic or anxiety attacks is up to you and different therapies will work in different ways.

So, let’s look at the 2 types of therapy for panic attacks above:

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Well cognitive behaviour therapy is actually built up of two components when it comes to treating panic and anxiety and is a proven way to treat anxiety. The first component is the “Cognitive Therapy” side which allows you to identify and even change the thinking patterns that maintain anxiety. The second component which is the “Behaviour Therapy” side works on desensitizing anxiety through exposure to feared situations, maybe the situations that bring on panic attacks!

This type of therapy for panic attacks is proven to work but doesn’t cure everybody. It can be costly therapy due to it being carried out by a professional but if it does work then it is obviously money well spent.

Self Help Therapy

The second therapy for panic attacks I will touch on is the self help guides readily available online and offline. Now these types of guides are exactly what they say on the tin, they are “Self Help”. You work with yourself and your own actions and mind to cure yourself.

Now although this may sound like a very complicated and long road. The right self help guide can have bonus affects that cognitive behaviour therapy cannot offer.

The effects of being able to look back at your journey and that of you conquering your panic or anxiety by yourself. If you get the right guide, they will literally hold your hand throughout the whole process and have a very high successful rate if followed step by step.

Beating your panic attacks is achievable by anybody, however severe you believe your attacks are. You just need the right guidance, the right method and a will to defeat your panic!
